Halloween was released in 1978 and was written and directed by the infamous John Carpenter, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Donald Pleasence, Nick Castle, and Tony Moran.
Halloween the reboot, was released in 2007, and was written and directed by Rob Zombie, though inspired by John Carpenter’s characters. It stars Scout Taylor-Compton, Malcolm McDowell, Tyler Mane, and Brad Dourif.
1978 story – 15 years following killing his sister at the age of six, on Halloween night in 1963, Michael Myers escapes from a mental hospital and returns to Haddonfield, IL to kill again.
2007 – The story for 2007 was about the same except that we get a little more back story about Michael Myers as a child, looking at the day of Halloween and the events that led up to the killing.
